Very close to the bus station where bus to Samaria leaving.
In the same building there are two hotels, Omalos and Samaria Hotel; we have booked at Omalos but the staff redirect us to the Samaria. Nice rooms, but it was not the Hotel that we have chose.

It was cheap for the area and since it was located next to the bus station, it made traveling to Omalos to hike the Samaria Gorge pretty easy. Also, it's not far from downtown area/Lions square. Finally, my favorite part was that there were giant doors that blocked all the sunlight, which made the room really dark when I wanted to sleep.
Very small shower, but it did have sliding doors which was nice. There were odd children's drawings as the decorative art on the walls. Sad view of the back alley and pretty noisy at night.

We stayed at a hotel during Easter and it was a decent experience. the room was big and comfortable enough for two people. the location was great, it was close to many shops and restaurants. the receptionist was friendly and helpful, he gave us useful tips about what to do and where to go around the area. We also enjoyed the view from the balcony, it was a nice touch.
the room wasn't very clean and there were stains on the bed sheets.

The proximity to amenities and ease of access to the old town were excellent. As we were using service buses to other parts of Crete we couldn`t possibly have been any closer to the main bus station - 20 metres or so. We only used the Hotel one night at the start of our Crete holiday and one night at the end of the fortnight. We were kindly upgraded the first night to the adjoining Samaria Hotel and although much appreciated we found the overall standards equal in both Hotels.
No bad points.

Noisy due to being located on a busy road. Difficulty finding parking nearby

Nice comfortable room. Very convenient for the bus station, as I was stopping over for one night only after a late flight from the uk. I was able to travel back home fresh next morning by bus - better than taking an expensive taxi late at night.
There was a lot of street noise but, of course, this can be expected because of the location.

I liked pretty much everything. The room was clean and spacious enough. The staff was really friendly and kind. The location is perfectly right in the center of the city. The price was also very good.
The inside of the rooms could be renovated.

We stayed in this hotel for convenience because it is right next to the bus station and we were catching an early bus the next morning. I think this is probably the only reason to stay here.
Room was small, cramped and poorly decorated. Bathroom was tiny. We have stayed in this hotel on other occasions and had slightly better rooms. It has become very run down and it looks like they no longer serve breakfast. Shame but we wont be staying there again.
